Going into an online yoga teacher training program can be intimidating. This is something different, new, and unfamiliar and you may feel vulnerable. It is normal to have such feelings. But what is more important is to know that yoga coach training will be one of the best and most transformative experiences in your life.
You will find your inner voice
It is imperative to know your inner voice when first learning how to coach yoga. In today’s society with email and texting being the main form of communication, it is all too often that we do not speak for hours. It is unnatural and weird. So when asked to speak in front of an audience at your training, it can be scary and overwhelming. You will have to get up in front of your peers and lead them through yoga classes.
Once you start your yoga teacher training, do not shy off. It is a beautiful chance to gain confidence, learn and grow independently. During your yoga coach training, find the confidence to speak up and project your emotions proud and loud. In time, each person develops their unique identity. This might take months of practice or it might happen naturally.
You will feel overwhelmed
Studying yoga isn’t a joke. It involves a lot of things such as learning Chakra system, the eight limbs, the ancient stories, founders and influencers, the Sanskrit names, yoga poses, how to teach yoga postures and more. You can get dizzy sometimes when you think about it.
The best advice I can give you is that online yoga teacher training is a journey. You shouldn’t focus on the end destination of teaching a yoga class. Instead, you should break down what your goal is and continue to build upon it. Take one step at a time and you will achieve our goals.
